Hi
A space that’s followed me through everything, life, work, books and the chaos in between. Not just one story, but all of them - reflections, rants and the odd useful thought.
I thought I’d dust this space off again.
Reimagined as a bit of a mix of my personal Tinypeanut blog and professional one.
No plan, no big point, just… writing. Bits of life, bits of work, books, rants, whatever turns up.
Just getting it out of my head… without bombarding all around me with streams of consciousness…
[Warning: I will talk a lot and veer off course and add random lines, quotes and bold text. I have always written strangely. Welcome to my mind.]
So, I’m finally listening to my husband, friends and past colleagues who have told me to write more… (I also genuinely do love it).
Terry Pratchett once said, “Humans need fantasy to be human. To be the place where the falling angel meets the rising ape.”
That about sums up most of my days, drifting somewhere between work-mode, mum-life, chaos, quiet moments and the stories. Trying to keep balance and avoid exhaustion.
(I said I would talk a lot didn’t I?!)
First proper post lands Sunday. Some thoughts I have thrown together after a friend asked me why I read so many horror books. Which got me thinking about why we scare ourselves even when the world is already frightening enough.
Checking my Goodreads… yeah I’m a fantasy and horror addict, with some philosophy, health and psychology books thrown in for seasoning.
But that’s me!
I’ll keep this as a sort of public diary, or maybe just noise that spills out of my head (as it often does).
Anyway. TIL Sunday.
